Finally a little bit of good news!

The surgery will be partially reopening on Monday 1st June but we are certainly not back to ‘normal’. All patients have had to be triaged into 3 categories, red, amber and green. The red and amber patients are those who we are allowed to see and treat immediately, that is, if they want to come into the clinic to see us of course.

We are now working through the list of ‘green’ category patients as per our Governing bodies guidance and Kim is currently contacting patients in date order.

Things will be a little different at the surgery. Your podiatrist will be in full PPE and we have fitted sneeze screens in the treatment rooms and reception desk. If you have an appointment, please arrive at your appointment time, we ask that all patients upon entering the practice proceed to the bathroom, located behind the reception desk, to wash your hands,  your Podiatrist will then take your temperature, using a non contact thermometer prior to your treatment.

We are trying to safeguard you by minimising the close contact you will have with other patients, to do this, we have extended the appointment time to 45 minutes, this will allow for the normal treatment time of 25 to 30 minutes  per patient, it will also allow extra time for us to deep clean in between each patient in an effort to minimise the risk of cross contamination.

Kim will also be working from home. After your appointment, she will contact you by telephone to make your next appointment. Shaiba has now returned to work, this means that there are now appointments being offered Monday to Saturday each week.

Stay safe and stay well, we hope to see you all very soon!
